Creative Education can make current education interesting!!

Today we will see what will be the education if creativity enters into it? What actually creativity in education is? What is the out-turn of Creative Education?

Now we all know that quality education is something that makes us capable to deal with real-life conditions/situations/problems. Also, we know that we can do a thing better if we have a great interest in it. Now, what is interest? Interest is the feeling of wanting to know or to learn about something or someone passionately. In other words, if someone said to you that this topic is your field of interest then it actually meant that this is topic is something on which you can work for hours with full dedication. Somehow, we can also relate to attracting and interesting by each other. The whole point is that thing will do more efficiently and in a better way if there is someone's interest to do that thing.

In the same way, primary education will be much better if the students find it interesting. Now, what are teachers jobs is to develop an interest in students regarding their respective subject. And students' job is to take interest in their studies and this is only possible if teaching methodology is interesting. Hence, it is all comes to teachers that they have to develop their own way of teaching that fascinates their students. 

Creative Education can make this possible...

To understand what is a creative education. First, we need to know what is creativity? So in a very creative way, 

Creativity = Imagination + Innovation + Creation

What does that mathematical expression meant now? It means that creativity is transforming imagination and one's innovative ideas into reality. Creativity is something which basically means is “just think out of the box” and transform your thoughts into creation or innovation and then introduce that into the real world. Now, most of the people are having a question that what is “OUTSIDE THE BOX THINKING?” So, it is just divergent thinking, thinking something different, exploring yourself and approaching something in a very different and unique manner. Now we can talk about Creativity in Education or Creative Education. So, creative education is an education in which students are taught by practical methods which make learning more fun. This makes students able to use their imagination and analytic thinking to generate new and meaningful forms of ideas when they can take risks, be independent and flexible. 

What was the need for Creative Education?

>>Conventional Teaching can be tedious and boring. Due to a load of so much syllabus, teachers also teach their students with an exam point of view. Students also cram that and pass the exam. Is this being an effective Education? NO, where are the basic concept/ the basic science behind everything? Aren’t they lost somewhere? Let’s suppose if the foundation of the house is weak, then what the meaning of the above structure. It will always be in danger from any natural disaster. The same is happening here, students leave the basic concepts and jump to higher things. What they do they just cram all things and reach the examination hall and if any question comes in a different manner than students forget all things. That’s why we need creative teaching here.

>>Creativity improves one’s ability to focus on. Many teachers daily confront the reality that student’s attention wanders in the class. Students can be sleeping, contemplating distractedly at some point other than the front of the room, texting, or working on something for another class. So, teachers often find hard not to take personally. What creativity do here? Creativity makes learning more interesting that it attracts the attention of students towards the lectures.

>>Creativity drive lifelong learning and an innovative mindset. Education is not that you learn something, write it into your examination paper, and then forgot it. Real Education is that in which you read or learn something, and it will keep in your mind for a long time and you may use it for any creation of any innovation in your near future. Hence shows the requirement of Creative Learning.

>>Creativity Triggers Up Student’s Emotional Development. At present student is unable to express their feeling their thoughts on a topic in the gathering of some people. Let’s take my reason for participating in this competition I took part in this competition to remove my hesitation and stage fear to speak in front of some peoples. And trust me by this activity I become confident to face people and speak out in front of them. And, actually, this is not only my problem, but this is also the problem of many students. A student thinks that if he said anything wrong, the whole class will laugh on him & It will also be insulting for him, etc. due to which student gets more agitated.  

          

What are the ways to Creativity in Education?

1. Teaching Methodology should also include practical formats that will Integrate more hands-on learning. Let’s start with a quote by Benjamin Franklin that“Tell me something and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” Let’s understand this quote by taking an example. At MIT, their professors teach their students in theory - practical formats. What I meant that they teach theory which is followed by a live experiment. A video of this is provided herein which a professor of MIT, Walter Lewin teaching conservation of momentum to their students.  

Why don’t our education system adopt this format in our education system? We can transform our normal lecture rooms into creative classrooms in such a way where we can conduct a practical demonstration just after a learning theory. This will make the lecture more interesting with 100% involvement of the student.               

2. Reward creative ideas and thoughts which will encourage risk-taking. What does that mean it says that if any creative ideas arise in any student or he/she perform well then they should be rewarded. This will increase their confidence level as well as it will also motivate other students to perform well and think OUT OF THE BOX and by this they will not be afraid of taking any risk and will also learn from their mistakes. So teachers should also encourage their students to take risks. 

3. Freedom for expression - As the name suggests but it has a different meaning here, it means expressing yourself freely. Now how it can be done? This can be done if classrooms adopt a policy of 10:1 that is there is one teacher on ten students (include girls and boys both). This makes students open with each other and also to ask or consult any problem with their mentor. This will also improve the communication skills of students. Also, teachers are also able to focus on each and every student, not on a single one. This will encourage discussion and meaningful conversations between teachers and students.

Hence we are now aware of creative education, the importance of creativity in education and ways to bring the creative education system. The only thing that we have to do is to work on it and bring this culture of creative education in our education system.
